Public Hearing

The Western Municipal Water District (Western) Board of Directors conducted a Public Hearing on October 4, 2017 to hear public comments regarding the proposed rates. By the end of the public hearing, staff addressed issues raised during the public comment period. These responses are summarized below as “Western’s Responses to Public Hearing Questions”. After the Public Hearing the Board voted to adopt the proposed rates presented in the summarized schedule below. The rates will be applied to all water services billed on or after Jan. 1, 2018, Jan. 1, 2019 and Jan. 1, 2020.

Retail Water Rates Presentation After a series of Board workshops, on August 2 the Board of Directors met and set a public hearing for October 4 to consider the proposed water rates. The staff presentation made to the Board on August 2 is available here and provides an overview of the proposed rates, including the cost drivers for the rates and proposed water budget structural changes.
