WMWD/Master Gardener Irrigation Workshop

Saturday, May 12, 2018

WMWD and the UCCE Riverside County Master Gardeners offer monthly workshops about water conservation, climate-appropriate gardening, and basic gardening topics applicable to Inland Empire homeowners. We invite you to join us on the second Saturday of the month to learn from experts in these fields and have the opportunity to talk with Master Gardeners about your gardening challenges. Irrigation is the topic for May; hear it from an expert that it's easy to make every drop of water count while providing the right balance for a healthy garden.

Due to popular demand, Western has expanded the workshop seating availability to accommodate 140 guests. Our doors open at 9:30, so come early to get your seat and a cup of coffee.

Join us on Saturday morning, May 12th at 10 a.m. for Anita Matlock's presentation on irrigation systems. Anita is an experienced irrigation professional with 26 years in the industry and 14 years as a Master Gardener through UCCE Davis. She will provide hands-on instruction on converting from sprinklers to drip and bubbler emitters and discuss "smart" controllers that are fully customizable--each watering zone schedule can be set with a frequency, start time and run time or--irrigate based on local weather, temperature and humidity. The goal is to ensure your plants are healthy and to lower your water bill.
